Summary: This was our third stay at the hotel. We returned because it was charming and very economical. But the rooms are even more in need of updating. The breakfast is not expensive but is poor.

Summary: Overall good value accommodation. Breakfast is buffet only. Dinner was ok, all very acceptable but not great, but then it’s not too expensive either - which balances it out. Staff are helpful. At the end of the day I’ll happily stay again if I need to be in the area.

Summary: Great bed with firm mattress. Unfortunately the shower was spouting very hot water. And the hand held shower head wasn’t spouting any water! The hotel needs some upgrading but appreciate the nightly rates are lower than many in the area. Unfortunately restaurant wasn’t open. The hotel has huge potential.

Summary: Found the bed a bit lumpy. Possible as it could be divided into 2 twin beds. Otherwise I loved my room, the property and the garden were beautiful.

Summary: Lovely hotel for a 2 night stopover The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, we had a problem with the hot water but they were straight on it to resolve the issue and even offered us a different room to shower in. We did not have breakfast so unable to comment, however our evening meal was excellent especially the fresh homemade pizza with goats cheese and caramelised onion and wild garlic from their garden. The gardens were lovely to have a little walk around Would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend

Summary: This hotel is a hidden gem. This was our second stay at this property and it was just as good as our first stay almost 2 years ago. Unfortunately, we stayed on a Sunday night so it was very quiet but that didn't spoil anything. We stayed in a superior double room, which was lovely, very spacious, and very reasonably priced. Dinner was extremely good and also reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Summary: The hotel was nice and clean but clearly being run on a shoestring. The person on reception, was also the one behind the bar, also taking food orders and then delivering the food. The heating in the room went off early evening, which then made the room chill down very quickly; this did make me smile, I thought another cost saving!! Sadly there was no cooked breakfast in the morning because they did not want to pay for a chef and then no one on reception at checkout as they only manned it after 10am. The pluses were the staff I did speak to were good, the room was clean and comfortable and the views were lovely. So not all negative, hence 3 stars.
