Positive: Fantastic location and facilities, everything you could possibly need. Staff friendly and accomodating. Wet or dry there was something to keep you occupied along with some really nice old fashioned outside games, there was also pac-man and flogger...something for everyone

Negative: Pool changing rooms could use a woman's touch and a little more bleach, but that's being really picky

Positive: Beautiful surroundings. A little gem in the middle of north Devon.

Negative: I think there should be a couple of hours dedicated to adults only in the swimming room area. When you’re trying to relax in the steam, sauna etc all you can hear is the kids scream. Isn’t really relaxing

Negative: Whilst the facilities where great the pool area and changing rooms where not clean what so ever which was really disappointing. The shower next to the sauna had a swam of millions of what looked like fruit flies at the top and mold which isn’t acceptable. Was a real shame as we were looking forward to the pool area the most that is why we booked the hotel however because of the lack of cleanliness we left and for this reason would not stay again.

Negative: Room decor was slightly grubby. Room service cleaning was patchy and fresh towels were at an extra cost. Some activities incurred additional charges and the outdoor pool was mostly closed.

Summary: The food made it for us. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were outstanding.

Positive: The grounds are lovely but unfortunately my stay in the Manor House room 301 suffered small midgy flies so everyday I had to remind housekeeping to spray the bathroom area which lasted about 12 hours. So on reflection the Valley or Meadows Lodges looked great and modern whereas the Manor House is tired looking.

Negative: Having flies in the bathroom was not a pleasant experience having to ask Housekeeping to keep spraying the bathroom on a daily basis

Summary: The Manor House rooms are tired but the breakfast was nice & overall I did enjoy my stay
