Positive: Large spacious comfortable room. Very clean, had a great night's sleep. Proprietor friendly and helpful.

Negative: The only negative thing is access to the M4 during the morning rush hour. It took me the best part of 30 minutes to do the three miles to the M4 at 8am. Otherwise a fantastic location and place to stay. I'm certain outside of peak morning rush hour there's no issue getting to M4 quickly.

Positive: Beautiful building and grounds Easy access to A33 into Reading and the M4 Friendly owners …excellent communication before arrival. ‘Traditional family run’ hotel …not a corporate hotel.

Negative: The shower could have been better but bathrooms are currently being updated.

Summary: Great base for a few days of Christmas shopping!
