Summary: I stayed at the very end of the property. Everything was good apart from the shower, the water pressure was very low and showering was very difficult. What made it worse was the seals on the shower head and hose were leaking which reduced the pressure even more. I asked reception to look at this but nothing was done. Apart from this everything else was okay.

Summary: A very well located Hotel. We paid extra for a room with a view, unfortunately this was on the 4th. floor, and for 80 year olds' 55 stairs and no lift was to say the least........testing.

Summary: Staff very helpful, we asked to switch rooms which they accommodated without arguing. Overall hotel rooms were 'tired', with mould around some windows and the accumulation of dirt in some corners. Unable to open the sash windows without them falling closed again, had to prop open with a piece of plastic I found. We had 2 rooms for our party, but though the rooms were the same price, one was nearly half the size of the other. Location really nice.

Summary: Our go to hotel for a short break. Close to town, the countryside, lovely spot. Staff really good. Only criticism this time is that the breakfast was not up to previous quality. Saying that, probably be back next year.

Summary: The food was excellent, the room was not. I booked a double and got a twin and despite being told it could be fixed the next day, it was not. The plug sockets either side of the beds were not working only the sockets by the kettle. The bathroom was actually a shower room. The wardrobe was filled with other stuff and smelt to badly of damp that I couldn’t hang clothes in it. The supply of coffee in the room ran to one cup over two days. The staff were friendly, but not customer service oriented on the whole. The restaurant was the exception where the food and service was great. Breakfast was not so good because everything ran out and replenishment was not anticipated. After booking I was bombarded by emails ‘about me booking’ which were actually publicity emails from the hotel, nothing specifically to do with the booking, but I had to keep checking just in case one was. I sent an emails enquiry which was only answered after 4 months because I chased. The hotel has a lot going for it, but it needs sharper management of its staff and facilities. It’s a shame!

Summary: Fantastic hotel in a beautiful location. All the staff were very polite and the check-in staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The room was very clean with a lovely view across countryside. We stayed on a Sunday so had a roast dinner in the evening which was very high quality and a very generous portion. We got 30% of as my wife has a blue light card. This doesn't apply to drinks but includes food and accommodation so don't forget to bring yours if you have one. There is a good size free car park. You just have to enter your registration number on the tablet at reception. If you are an ale drinker they have Nethergate from near by Long melford that was superb. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Summary: First thing I have to say is my review is of no detriment to the staff as all of them are polite and attentive. The hotel itself is in dire need of a clean. The bar was ok and the sitting area upstairs was nice but again in need of a clean. Our room considering I booked for a superior double at £140 was at best a basic double that should be half that cost. Bathroom was tiny and poor too. Breakfast room was small and overcrowded with the staff again trying their best.
