Positive: We booked a 1 double bed villa with private pool and were blown away by the accommodation, it was incredibly spacious and better than the photos showed. The location is beautiful and peaceful and exactly what we needed for the last few days of our holiday, especially the massages we booked to have at the villa. The staff were very friendly and helped organise all that we needed. We recommend the dolphin watching, Pantai Kalanganyar Turtle Hatchery and snorkling at Menjangan.

Negative: Although it was fine for us as we were only there a few days there arent any other restaurants / food places nearby unless you travel . So if you are staying for a while you might find it a bit restrictive only having one restaurant.

Positive: The slow pace. Friendly staff, and we enjoyed the pool and outside area allot of the villa. Sunsets are beautiful. Boat trip watching dolphins swim was worthwhile. Highlight was our snorkeling experience. The food was enjoyable.

Positive: Close enough by scooter (hired from villa) to get to all things needed. Close to supermarket, pharmacy, good food restaurants ( local and international options), markets for fresh fruit and veg are a 10 minute drive, liquor store 3 minutes away. Villa has a fridge and outdoor kitchenette. I like the quiet, spacious, luxury, beach and pool. A whole suite / villa to ourselves with awesome river, mountain and sea view. Also the resort arranges awesome massages at $15 USD for 90 minutes.

Negative: The property has a restaurant, the food is average, value for money. No cooking equipment at the suite. Walking to the shops can be done but it will take 20 mins there. If you are looking for night life or sophisticated boutique shopping nothing for 3 hours travel, to Ubud or Kuta.

Positive: The resort itself is peaceful, with clean, new rooms, nice furniture, and a well-maintained environment inside the resort— but unfortunately, that’s about all the positives I can mention.

Negative: Be prepared: the location is far from any services, so you’re dependent on what the resort offers — and everything is overpriced. In 5 days we spent around 3 million IDR just on food and drinks. The food was expensive, the coffee wasn’t good at all, and breakfast options were very limited — only 6 choices, with extremely small portions, and still overpriced. The internet was another disappointment: it kept dropping out, and we had to re-enter the code constantly — sometimes 10 times a day on a mobile phone. Housekeeping was inconsistent. We constantly had ants and insects on the terrace, and we had to ask three times to get soap refilled, trash bins emptied, and cleaning done. Transport is also an issue. Gojek and Grab do not operate here, and if you want to use the resort’s driver, they add a big surcharge. For example, we arranged a trip for 500k IDR with a driver we knew through Gojek; the resort wanted 800k for the exact same trip. Swimming in the sea is not really possible — it’s rocky, fishermen stretch nets everywhere just in front of the villa so lack of privacy as well, and behind the villa the water is full of debris. When you walk by the beach few metres from the beach it is messy. It’s a shame — the resort itself is pretty, but the location, lack of nearby services, overpriced offers, and the inability to enjoy the beach really let it down. If it were in a different place and better value for money, it could be great. Next time, I would choose Pemuteran Beach instead.
