Summary: Everything was absolutely fantastic. Location, the hotel itself, our room and, of course the friendly and helpful staff. Also ate dinner at the restaurant, brilliant as well.

Summary: I cannot say enough about how beautiful this property is. From the moment you check in the entire staff is so wonderful. The rooms are so spacious & the decor is so gorgeous. Each room is set up with so much care. They have in-house laundry, which is very reasonable price. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The entire property including your rooms are so clean. Wish I could’ve stayed there longer. Such a memorable day.

Summary: The Lovat at Loch Ness is a charming and stylish lakeside hotel. The property has two lovely lounges, even a grand piano, and is equipped with an elevator — a thoughtful touch. Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: besides the classic Highland Breakfast, we tried the Kedgeree (smoked haddock with curried rice and poached egg), which was absolutely delicious and a wonderful Scottish surprise. The hotel’s location in Fort Augustus adds to the experience. The town itself is full of character, with the Caledonian Canal locks right at the center — watching the boats rise and fall is like a slow, graceful performance. We only stayed one night but wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the rhythm and atmosphere of this beautiful place.
