Summary: Pictures can't really do the view and the property justice. It's really an incredible scene as you pull up, with a wrap around deck well appointed to enjoy it. The cabin is a great mix of modern where it makes sense (kitchen, bathroom, appliances) and rustic everywhere else - it's super charming while still being functional and practical. Another factor that is hard to get across in the photos is that it's very private! There are other rentals a couple hundred yards down the road, but you can't see or hear anyone else so it's quite peaceful. The hot tub was great (and hot on arrival), there were plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, and even sugar and cream for coffee. Very well appointed for this type of cabin rental, in my experience. Communication and check-in/out were all great, no friction no issues at all. The market and other shops in Mentone are barely a 5 minute drive down the ridge, and some really great trailheads are within about a 10 minute drive as well. This was our first time in Mentone, and it's hard to imagine a better first experience.

Summary: The view is gorgeous when it's not foggy/rainy. Unfortunately two of the days we were there it was like that. But we did see it on the first day. The cabin is cozy and relaxing. There are neighbors, but they aren't very close and we couldn't see them, only could faintly hear them. It's far enough away from town where you feel alone with nature. The area is really nice and quiet.
