Positive: This was BY FAR the best accommodation we had in Madagascar-Main-Island! The complex is beautiful and very well maintained down to the last detail, especially the spacious, well-tended garden. The location is excellent, particularly quiet and just a few minutes from the entrance to the national park. Our host Hervé and his team took great care of us. Hervé cooked up a big meal (also with local ingredients) for us every day. The food is unrivalled, he is a true ‘chef de cuisine’. The food is absolutely fantastic and is characterised by European, Malagasy and Japanese influences. The only difference to a toque-awarded restaurant is that Hervé's portions are large and the price-performance ratio is right ;) My wife is a vegetarian, Hervé has come up with something every day (!) and cooked delicious dishes for her. The breakfast was sumptuous and excellent. He also prepared a packed lunch for us once for the national park, delicious blue cheese sandwiches with mustard (thank you!). Hervé also has a great selection of wines, spirits and cocktails. The main house is extremely cool and fancy (fusion/style mix, as described above), there is also a very nice lounge and a terrace and also WiFi available there. I will recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling around Ankaranana /Diego Suarez! p.s.: Of course, I also read the (few) negative reviews beforehand, can't understand them at all and am wondering, if those people had simply mixed up the accommodation (or what else could be the reason for such ratings).

Positive: The Litchi Tree is just an incredible place and Hervé is an amazing host and cook. Sadly, we we only able to spend one night here, but we enjoyed it to the fullest.

Positive: The location on the top of the hill. Nice view over Doego. Staff is highly competent amd food is excellent. Fine cuisine in Joffreville. The hotel is decorated with taste, a mix of old colonial style with a touch of Japanese style.

Positive: We loved loved loved the host first of all , great hospetality , the food was amazing!! ,and the rooms and the grarden so beautiful located and organized . Everything made with thought . And its like 10 minutes drive from the national park. If we cold we would have stayed longer ! The view from the hotels, the rooms, the vibe. All was exceptional . 🔥🔥🔥
