Summary: We had a really pleasant stay - the room was a little small but being in an old pub you would not expect anything else. However, it was exceptionally clean, the bedding was of excellent quality, it had a really good size shower with a nice rainfall shower head and there was plenty of choice of hot drinks and biscuits. Breakfast is included and the choice and quality of the food was excellent - it's a shame some other hotels cannot offer the same for such a reasonable price. Our only complaint was that we found the bed was quite uncomfortable and a small double, but we have a Superking at home, so probably spoilt!! Down in the bar, the service was really friendly and very helpful, the drinks are reasonable and the meal we had in the restaurant was fantastic. We would highly recommend The Lion and will probably be back at some stage. Well done ladies [and gents in the kitchen] as you made our stay very comfortable indeed. Thanks!!

Summary: Was a great place to stay for a wedding nearby. Staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious. Only downside was when choosing between rooms we opted for the one with "outside deck/patio" assuming this was a private space or attached to the room. This actually meant the window in the room overlooked the patio at the front of the Pub! Just a heads up Incase you were hoping for a private outside space. Great spot, would stay again.

Summary: We stayed here with our 4 year old. Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Parking wasnt the easiest to find as we couldnt park on site but once found was only 2 minutes away. Our room was lovely but we were disappointed to find that, even though we booked for 3, there was no sofa bed and a camp bed was brought to us. This made the room a tight squeeze around the bed. Breakfast was at 10am which we felt was very late, but the staff were very kind to bring us a breakfast basket to our room. Overall a lovely stay just a few minor issues.

Summary: A fantastic little find and cannot fault. The standard of the rooms, dog friendly, great service, food excellent. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Summary: The Hotel is fine but the parking is not on site as stated on Expidea and when you arrive, the parking is not well sign posted.
