Negative: No bath No reception 25 weeks pregnant and had to carry things and do 3 trips to car to get things Stripping everything Door handle on lock broken when coming in to the room

Positive: The Linden Leaf offers budget accommodation in the true sense of the word. The room had a microwave and fridge, hanging space and four coat hangers, very small room, minimal power points, none in bathroom and bathroom door would not open fully due to bed in the way. Also no spare toilet rolls so make sure you buy some if staying a few days. Bathroom amenities, shampoo etc supplied but not sufficient for a six night stay so bring your own stuff. Rooms are not serviced during stay, unless you ask Prim and pay extra. Image of room on booking.com is obviously a bigger and possibly better room from the view. Bathroom sink tap needs repair as loose and tap was like this when we moved in. I assume the previous occupants didn’t report like we did. The holder next to sink not useable as it continually comes off the wall. Nowhere to store all towels in bathroom, One small hand rail. Aesthetics not good with spider webs all over walls outside widows and I had to clean webs from our window when window open. Outside the place looks rundown when viewed from side and rear. Could do with a good tidy up to make the place more appealing and our room old and worn and showing age. Only booked as I thought place looked good and was at end of street where family being visited lived so only a short walk. Nearby co-op supermarket excellent for all goods and services, including Costa coffee. Co-op is strongly recommended wherever you stay. Close walking distance to the train station. Lack of on-site staff and the remote management system are points of concern impacting the overall sense of security and service. For budget travelers and those needing a quick overnight stay, the Linden Leaf provides a functional option, but I regret booking for six nights. Make sure you confirm all check-in requirements well in advance and consider bringing essential supplies like toiletries and cutlery as although there is a microwave, there is no supporting crockery or cutlery.

Positive: The location is excellent. I had no idea breakfast was not included. The location is excellent, and supermarkets are very close; it's a lovely and quiet area. The train station is three minutes' walk away, and the bus stop is in front of the building.

Negative: The bedhead is filled with dust and should be cleaned. The shower door is small for some individuals to pass through. There are small teacups; you should try to buy normal teacups for clients and a teaspoon because there was none. No toilet paper; at least, one is ok for a start before the client can go out to purchase one.

Summary: My stay was ok, but the protocol should be clearly explained to the client.
