Positive: Location was fabulous - great views. Picturesque setting. Great to have a morning cuppa watching the cows and sheep.
Negative: The lack of a cooker was a bit of a surprise but the lovely owner provided an air fryer which did the trick. The larch was quite short on space - so perhaps having the microwave on a shelf would be better, giving a little workspace.
Summary: Great - Will be going back.

Positive: The view and privacy of the accommodation, the owners have thought of things many people forget about such as milk, snacks and toothbrushes in case visitors forget them.

Positive: The chalet was beautifully clean, well-presented and comfortable (lovely bed!) with nice linen and towels. The view from the room was lovely and there was a nice seating area on decking outside the patio doors. Really nice coffee provided, tea and milk, snacks available on the honour system. In addition to a kettle, Nespresso machine, microwave, toaster and air fryer there was a small fridge, so well-equipped for self-catering. Excellently placed for sightseeing with a pleasant pub in walking distance, and convenient shops a short car journey away.
Negative: The hand shower fitment was broken, there was nowhere to unpack a suitcase, except for hanging space. There was no uncluttered work surface available on which to prepare food or even comfortably put down a plate. It would have been great to have a little coffee table and a couple of shelves in bathroom and in the alcove behind the bathroom door. Didn’t see the owners during our stay, but they were responsive by email and I was comfortable that they were on call if required.
Summary: A comfortable, reasonably priced short stay in a beautiful area with lots to see and do.

Positive: This lodge was beautiful. The scenic views were breathtaking. Our hosts gave us the privacy we wanted but were also on hand should you need anything. All the photos you see on the advert are true to the lodge. If your looking for somewhere to just relax and get away from everyday life then this is the place. No smoking on the decking area but we soon found out that this was catered for. Before you start your journey onto the gravel path there is a bench that you can sit and relax on with a bucket to distinguish your cigarettes. The bed is huge and so comfy and the shower is amazing! The lodge itself has everything you need. There is an honesty box with ample supplies of the essentials such as toothpaste, snacks etc I will definitely book this cabin again and I wish all the best for the hosts. They have thought about absolutely everything. I just can't fault it at all.
Negative: Nothing to dislike at all!
Summary: Beautiful scenery, relaxing, comfy and great hosts

Positive: Great view over the valley. Lots of emergency provisions should we require them.
Negative: The only minor drawback was the bit of traffic noise but with doors closed couldn’t hear that.
Summary: Fabulous view from spacious bed.

Positive: rom the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in serenity. The lodge is nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by breathtaking views—rolling hills, birdsong, and the kind of stillness you forget you needed. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and truly relax. The room was spotless, tastefully decorated, and opened up to a stunning view that we could have stared at for hours. Every little detail, from the cozy furnishings to the fresh scent of the woods, was thoughtfully curated to create a sense of calm. What truly made the stay unforgettable was the hospitality. Warm, genuine, and attentive, the hosts went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway with amazing views and heartfelt hospitality, this is the place. A hidden gem we’ll be returning to again and again.
