Summary: I recently stayed at the Kontiki Beach Resort and overall I enjoyed my stay and would return, mainly because the location is excellent. Being right next to Mambo Beach was definitely the highlight — everything was convenient, lively, and beautiful. The room itself was nice and comfortable, but there were a few issues. The lighting in the room was very dim, and I also didn’t like that the shower had no door because the bathroom floor would get soaked after every shower. The staff experience was mixed. Some employees were fine, but the ladies working at the beach area had poor attitudes and came across as sarcastic when I simply asked where to get towels. Customer service could definitely be improved. Breakfast was okay — not the greatest selection or quality — but since it was included for free, I can’t complain too much. One thing that really bothered me was finding a huge roach inside an open bag of candy I had left on the counter in my room. That was definitely unpleasant and something the resort should address. Overall, despite a few negatives, I still enjoyed the resort because of the amazing location and nice atmosphere. With improvements in customer service, room design, and pest control, this place could easily be even better.

Summary: The location cannot be beat! Close to so many restaurants and bars if you are looking to get off the resort. Loved the pools and the iguana’s that hung out around them.

Summary: We enjoyed 6 days at the Kontiki and are looking forward returning in the fall. The resort is beautiful and the accommodations were exceptional. If you want night life, the Kontiki has it. If you want R&R, you will find it at the Kontiki! The food was wonderful and there was a nice variety. Thank you to the staff for making our stay exactly what we hoped it would be.

Summary: Wow is all I can say! I absolutely loved this hotel. I stayed in the Beachfront Suite and was completely obsessed. The room was stunning, and I couldn’t help but lounge in my private pool most days. Beyond the beauty of the space, the service was top-notch. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. They were also very responsive to all my requests via WhatsApp, which made everything so easy and convenient. Overall, I highly recommend staying here for a truly relaxing getaway.
