Positive: Such a beautiful place to stay. Great to have beach chairs and towels. Love the welcoming pastry they leave for the guests. Lovely touch. Location is amazing and so close to downtown, Marie Selby, the beach. Everything is walking distance (trolley to the beach). Apartment is small but very well equipped and very convenient. And everything is so well maintained and clean!

Summary: Perfect place to spend New Years Eve and New Year’s Day.

Positive: Everything! So artsy yet still has that cozy 1925 carriage house vintage feel ☺️ Beautiful little tropical garden you can even sit outside in. The neighborhood is very close housing but you still feel private with the lush trees and gardens! We were able to do such much being this close to everything. We walked to so many places close by. We felt so cozy and hip. The carriage house had everything you could need besides us, Caitlin provided everything. She was an AMAZING host to my family while leaving us with full privacy the entire stay! All the shower necessities if you needed any, makeup wipes, hairdryer, laundry baskets, luggage rack, portable makeup mirrors, local history reads, full kitchen with all needed supplies, espresso coffee machine with all the fixings for great coffee, and welcome fresh croissants from a local bakery.

Negative: My only complaint would be that the bathroom has no ventilation when showering so it becomes extremely damp. There is a screened small window in the bathroom that opens, but it is covered with a shelving unit, so we could not actually open it to use it. I was not traveling alone so trying to get dressed while damp isn't easy. We ended up knocking when we were done so we could stand outside so the person could get dressed with door open to ventilate. But we didn't mind the small hiccup!

Summary: The most amazing cozy yet artsy stay that provided amazing adventures in Sarasota!

Positive: The Carriage House is our favorite holiday rental in Florida. It is such an inviting open space with high ceilings, lots of natural light, and modern furnishings that are both functional and comfortable. Caitlin has added thoughtful touches that make the place special, including a high-end coffee maker, charming retro modern appliances, a very well equipped kitchen, and plenty of storage space throughout the place to organize your things. The location in Laurel Gardens neighborhood was perfect for parking the car and walking to restaurants, waterfront, botanical gardens, Sarasota art museum, and Publix. Caitlin's online guide is user-friendly and full of tips and info about the house, neighborhood, town, and dining options. The restaurants nearby are excellent, but so are the gourmet takeaway food options at Mortons Gourmet Market and Wholefoods. We'll be back!
