Positive: We was made to feel so welcome when we first arrived by George. The locals of the pub made us feel like part of their community, absolutely loved the friendliness of this place, will definitely be returning ❤️

Positive: Easy to find. Parking opposite property, so we did not have to walk far with our bags. Fantastic room, quiet and cosy. Comfortable bed. Also had a fan in the room, which was great as it was very hot weather outside. Had all amenities needed.

Negative: The room was very warm (heatwave) and a bit claustrophobic with the floor-level window. Would choose a different room next time.

Positive: We didn’t have breakfast, we understand it’s not a B&B. Waited for us to get there late just before 11pm. Liked that the refurbishment kept the character of the property. It was really hot and a fan was provided without needing to request. Small room with most things you’d expect available. Kudos for having a mirror over a plug for hairdryer, straightener! The shower was fabulous.

Negative: The lights up to our room kept tripping, when this was fixed they and the bathroom fan came on during the night. We were asked if we left the bathroom door open, we hadn’t but we also hadn’t been told to keep it closed. We hope that was a minor glitch. The road outside was noisy even with the quaint teeny window closed and earplugs. Maybe think about the check out protocol! Understand the time, we lost something which delayed us by 8 mins. Made us feel like it’s about turn around rather than customer experience.

Summary: Nice village, most places don’t open Sunday so you’d need to have food organised in advance.
