Summary: For this hotel, “Classic” means “old and not updated” rooms. Our queen room had one (yes, one) chair, an extremely old & low commode and high walled bathtub.

Summary: Wonderful stay at the Historic Summit Inn. Staff were extremely helpful, including when they realized that we had double-booked our room. They moved us to a room that was away from the wedding group (our original stay was next door to the wedding couple!). The hotel does not have an elevator, but staff were helpful in letting us know that if we parked around back, we could get to the 2nd floor room with fewer steps. Much appreciated!

Summary: This hotel is a historic gem. Do not expect a modern or renovated hotel space. The lobby is full of charm, lots to look at and our kids loved the checkers set and puzzle. They also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool! The game room is pretty tired, bring cash if your kids enjoy pay for play money grabs 😆the room itself was very large. The decor could use a refresh - I appreciate trying to stay within a historic time frame, but the carpet, tile and tapestries all were more 80s than 1900s. The coffee in the lobby was the best my husband has ever had as a hotel! We also loved our dinner 🍽️ in the dining room. The kids meals were large and yummy, special shout out to the staff in the restaurant! I have to mention the smell of the hallways and some of the public spaces - it is mildew/moldy odor that is fairly noticeable to me. I’ll admit I have a very sensitive nose! I’d love to see them restore the hotel to its former glory, I’m sure it would be expensive but worth it.

Summary: The Inn was more than I expected. From the magnificent view and cleanliness to the beautiful pool we had no complaints. The food from their restaurant was the best I ever had while on vacation.

Summary: This is a beautiful historic property! Loved the lobby, verandah & other public areas. The historical photos & items throughout are fascinating. We booked thru a 3rd party. Our room was in the back, away from the road, so it was quiet & view was a green area. The room was smaller but adequate, clean, had new carpet & fresh cotton sheets, new windows & a modernized bath with bright white towels. My only disappointments with the room were a slightly musty smell & door peephole without privacy cover. We enjoyed dinner on-site with verandah seating. Food was excellent. The staff was exceptionally friendly & professional. So much more than the standard highway hotels on a road trip!
