Positive: Room was okay, but what we did not know is that our "king size" bed was actually a murphy bed. No support in the middle so we had to hug the edge every night. Not comfortable at all. This information needs to be put into the room description. Also, our "patio" had bushes and trees that were so overgrown that it was not usable. You can tell they have let the resort begin to run down as it is dated, and the rooms need modernizing.

Positive: It was a beautiful location in the middle of woods/forest. Staff was very nice and accommodating. There was a full kitchen with a cooktop, microwave, refrigerator and sink. There was also with plates, utensils, etc. The bathroom was nice and spacious with double sinks and walk in shower. There is a balcony you can walk out on to look at the resort grounds. There are 2 TV's, one in the living area and one in the bedroom.

Negative: The room was a disappointment for the price. We thought we were getting a beautiful suite but it was a mediocre 2 room suite. There was a Murphy bed (basically in the kitchen) and a pull out couch in the living area and an incredibly uncomfortable bed with no support whatsoever in another room that we had a hard time sleeping on. The chairs around the kitchen table were very low and you sunk into when you sat down. For the money we paid we also thought we would be staying in the upgraded accommodations they have on the resort grounds and not in a hotel room.

Positive: There are fun things to do with families, and the grounds are beautiful. It's great that it is surrounded by exceptional golf courses. We have stayed before in the Heather suites. It smells less musty than the first time. They are still out dated, especially the kitchen, but beds are comfortable. They gave plenty of towels, so you don't have to ask. The coffee shop is great.

Negative: The grounds, especially the Main Lodge, are not accessible. We had a stroller and had to break it down in order to get the back lawn. Otherwise, we would've had to walk around the entire building on the grass to get there. It would be really hard if someone had a wheel chair. The resort staff apologized but didn't have a solution. Our door wouldn't lock all the way at first. The safety latch was bent and the door was extremely hard to shut. We called security and they bent it back to close. There is virtually no lighting on the drive into the resort and in the parking lots. The resort seems safe in general, but there can be critters. Better lighting is a good idea.
