Positive: The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower warm and powerful. A good place to rest after a day of walking.
Negative: Check in took a while as another guest had an issue and there wasn't a second person on hand to help. In advance, I made 2 requests to book a table in the restaurant which were no answered. When we arrived, we were told that the chef had just left so no food was available that evening in house.

Negative: Room, a bit messy with a dead spider in one of the drawers, window was awkward too

Positive: The two staff were great. They were running round all evening but were pleasant and cheerful.
Negative: Checking in was ridiculous. I didn't have a passport or driving licence (as I wasn't travelling abroad and didn't have a car). Apparently this is because of some problems recently.

Positive: The hotel is very well located in central Chirk and the staff was truly lovely. There is a very nice beer garden, bar and places to have meals.
Negative: It was a heat wave, we had only one small fan and most of the windows are painted shut. I think the Permissions Board really needs to reconsidering allowing the AirCon to be installed.
Summary: Very nice people. Very hot room.
