Positive: A traditional SiHeYuan, quite near the train station. Once you reach the BaDaLing Train Station, you need to descend and walk around 1KM to the Hostel.

Negative: The walking distance to the Hostel, we travelled during the Summer, very hot.

Positive: Absolutely amazing stay for those looking for an authentic place near the great wall. The breakfast was amazing and extremely filling. The key highlight was the staff - they were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help you get settled and introduce you to the surroundings. It genuinely felt like I was staying with relatives. 10/10 would recommend

Positive: The owners of the hostel wete extremely kind and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay at The Great Courtyard Hostel.

Positive: Nice staff, good breakfast. Room was very clean. Location is good - close to chinese wall.

Negative: Privacy could be improved - as room is right next to the restaurant, I could hear everything that went on outside (and vice versa). Better sound isolation would be nice.

Positive: The hostel exceeded my expectations, it was like a 3 star hotel. Very clean, specious room. The location was great, 10min walk to the Great Chinese wall entrance. The host was really polite and always responded to our questions promptly. She did try her very best to assist with everything she could even with her limited knowledge of English.
