Summary: The check-in was quick and smooth with a friendly Junior member of staff, the bedroom was large and comfortable. The ensuite bathroom had a large bath and shower. The shower had black mould growing on the inside. and the toiletries were not replenished in the seven days that we were there. The towels were replaced once The breakfast to be honest was depressing, as there wereonly a handful of guests there was very little attention given to the breakfast, no fresh fruit or pastries no buffet options staff only asked if you wanted a cooked breakfast, when it arrived, The bacon was dehydrated and brown. The sausage was wrinkled and dried out. The mushrooms had dried out so much. They were tiny and shrivelled and the black pudding could not be cut but I did manage to break it in half! The only thing that was edible on the plate was the egg so the thought of having pre paid for breakfast and having this presented each morning was depressing, when I complained several mornings the staff member did nothing and were obviously unhappy at the complaint, no apologies or options were given. There was repeatedlyno hot water for the tea and it had to be asked for. Miraculously on the last two mornings when they were wedding guests staying at the hotel a buffet breakfast was provided and all the food was cooked to a very good standard, it left us feeling that the low occupancy meant low standards i.e. The guests can take it or leave it they have already paid.

Summary: Fantastic food in this lovely old pub. Really enjoyed my stay and was really impressed with the food. Generous portions and absolutely delicious. The chips were outstanding! I will definitely be back when im next in the area.

Summary: Stunning location, very clean and tidy , lovely food and great walks nearby. Beautiful beer garden by the river. Dropped a star rating due to a few housekeeping issues- no duvet covers on the duvets, only one remote control between 2 tvs, front door handle lose,no facilities to dispose of recycling and dog waste and dead batteries in the candles in the living room.Fresh milk would have been nice in the fridge rather than pots of uht. Overall though, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Summary: Amazing stay. We went late night and the staffs were very much accommodating. The rooms were clean and recommend highly near that area.

Summary: Good value ….. and rooms are excellent ….. outside needs a bit of TLC and maybe some menu improvements but overall a good spot to explore the area or for business

Summary: The Manager was excellent , however there were a few items on the menu which were not available . The hotel has great character but it needs a few £ spending on it , to freshen the place up .

Summary: We arrived early and staff were happy to let us check in. Lovely lady on reception, very friendly. Room was very spacious, comfy big bed and lovely bathroom. Would definately stay again ☺️
