Summary: The hotel has a car park - if you have a larger car, get the code for the back gate and don't attempt the passageway :)

Summary: The hotel is old and shows its age. A steep staircase rises to the rooms. There are signs of poor maintenance, stained carpets and a need for redecoration.The beds were clean and comfortable and, lights, TV, WiFi and the hot drinks kettle all worked well. The room was quiet despite being on the street side. The pub stays noisy until late on Saturday night. There are nice cafes nearby for breakfast and the location is central to the town for shops and the delightful Newnt lake park

Summary: The staff were really helpful and pleasant in both the bar and hotel. We had issues with the TV in the room but these were resolved quickly by the staff. The hotel was a bit tired and so was the room. There was a huge bathroom with a carpeted floor, which is not ideal in a bathroom. The electric shower didn't work on the morning we left & we couldn't find anyone to tell about it before we left. The bedding was clean, but the bed and pillows were a bit firm, so not so good if you prefer them softer. It wasn't overly expensive to stay here, so it was around the quality of accommodation we expected.
