Summary: Very good stay. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable and clean. It was busy on a Friday night but the service in the restaurant was prompt and we enjoyed our meal

Summary: Booking was last minute and a real pleasure to find such a dog friendly hotel in an idealic riverside location. The staff couldnt be more helpful or friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and of course it was a paws up from our dog as he was offered treats at every turn. The hotel itself is starting to show its age but dont let that put you off.

Summary: Great stay in a hotel beside the river, with lovely scenery. Comfortable bed meant I slept very well. Breakfast was lovely each day and so was the evening meal I had. Great location for exploring Hadrian's Wall or attending Hexham Races.

Summary: The first room we checked into was next to an internal door which kept being slammed by noisy guests. We were moved to another room by a lovely and helpful member of staff without any hesitation. The second room was an upgrade from the first one and was in a much quieter part of the hotel so we are very appreciative of that. The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating.the location is perfect next to the river and the outdoor space was great (was a lively still and sunny day). Breakfast was plentiful, hot and delicious.
