Summary: We paid – on average -- $577+ (including taxes and fees) for a small 1-bedroom suite for 7 nights; a hot breakfast was part of the room charge. At $300 - $350, all in, this might have been value for money paid. However, there was a high number of problems with this Hotel, including its lack of professional hotel management. Character limits prevent a full list. In Suite • Furniture is not fit to the guest suite in either the bedroom – a King Bed in a space that calls for a Queen – or the Living Room, which had two extra chairs – one virtually inaccessible arm chair and one ‘dining’ chair around a 4’ diameter breakfast table (three total) • Metallic bed base that “rang” when hit, which happened frequently due to the 12” clearance on either side of the bed to the wall • Bed height is too tall for both vertically- and mobility-challenged adults Amenities • Washer-dryer combo (one appliance) came with no operating instructions • No laundry bags The Bathroom • Location of Shampoo/Body Wash/Conditioner on shower wall was poorly placed, he hand held shower head (a magnetic one; nice touch) interfered with access to the pumps on the wall; clearly, this location was never tested in actual usage • Disgusting lack of a toilet seat cover, clearly intentional and clearly a cost-savings measure • Bathroom door is literally too big for the doorframe, preventing It from closing fully and eliminating any bathroom privacy (or privacy for those not in the bathroom, too).

Summary: The GEM Suites was not designed as a hotel. Rather it was redesigned from some other type of residence. As such it lacks normal hotel amenities, like hooks for pajamas in the bathroom. Also, the towels were old and thin. Not a great stay.

Summary: The breakfast was great. Nice and clean. Staff was helpful. The washer is a washer dryer combo so not great, takes a long time to completely dry the clothes.
