Summary: The staff were are courteous and friendly, but the hotel is quite outdated. I struggled to gain entry as the external door handle was broken off, and there were no signs telling people what to do. Reception had a note of the issue in the repair log from earlier in the day but nothing had been done. Also the room was clean but outdated, the bed was quite hard and lumpy, and lots of the bathroom fittings were wobbly including the toilet being difficult to flush. The heating also only worked by plugging in a separate electric heater rather than the plumber in system working.

Summary: Didn’t have breakfast. The staff are a brilliant asset for the hotel, nothing was too much for them and they did it with a smile, sometimes in the face of adversity, I can’t praise them highly enough, my only concern is that the hotel is really in need of an upgrade, in particular the door/key system seriously needs looking at.
