Summary: We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We had a 5th floor executive room with a balcony which wasn’t cheap but was very spacious with a sitting area and balcony with a view. The bed was large and comfortable. We had breakfast in the room twice which arrived on time and as ordered for a delivery charge of €12.50. The third day we went down for the breakfast buffet which provided a good choice and although ending at 10.30 am people were still arriving about that time and getting seated. The hotel is fairly modern and was in good condition. There is a nice bar area and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We didn’t use the Spa facilities and so can’t comment on that. The hotel is an ideal location for walking into town Eyre Square and Qyay Street are only about 10-15 minutes walk where there are numerous pubs and restaurants to choose from. It was also only about 10-15 minutes subject to traffic to get to the races in a taxi. We hired a car and were charged €40 for 3 nights parking which sadly seems to be the norm these days! The only issue we had was our toilet getting running on the second day and then wouldn’t flush but maintenance sorted it out after a couple of requests. Overall though a very pleasant stay and if returning to Galway and the Races which we would as the place is buzzing I would definitely stay at the Galmont again.

Summary: A great location and great amenities. There during the horse races so it was very busy. the staff did a great job of making sure things worked efficiently. The proximity to the train and coach stations was a real plus.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay, especially the nice breakfast selection and the convenience of having both restaurants and vending machines. Less convenient: Only two elevators and the stairs were not very easy to find, adding some waiting time in the morning when everyone is going to breakfast at the same time. Also swimcaps were needed in the pool which you had to pay for (3Euro, mainly inconvenient since we had to run back to the room). On the other hand, the pool and especially the outdoor jacuzzi (nice and properly warm) were great.

Summary: Really appreciated the space in the room. Amazing bed and plenty of room to open suitcases. Shower seemed to operate differently to all the others we have experienced. Difficult to control temperature. Aircon excellent. Location in a quiet part of town but with easy access to railway and bus stations. Lots of choice at breakfast. The only negative was after checking in a member of staff (bot from reception but with a uniform) came in the lift and helped us to access our floor but when we got out we were actually on the wrong floor and she disappeared in the opposite direction. Had to go back down and start again. Left us with a bad feeling.

Summary: Location is ok with ample parking. Shower design is terrible on many levles. Small glass leaves bathroom soaked, sprayer nozzle spins all over spraying bathroom, raised tub makes shower very short and no fan leaves it a steamy mess. AC barley works and thats not ideal in summer. Also 15 minute walk to anything with homeless and bis and train station out front. Amenties like hot tub and pool close at 9. Be nice to be open later to enjoy after a long day in the city.

Summary: Terrific stay. The front desk distributed a list of recommended places to go which was incredibly well curated. Everyone was helpful. There is a filtered water dispenser which eliminates the need for plastic bottles. The whole thing was just wonderful.
