Positive: Clean and tidy,looked fresh and had a good hands off check in/out system. Friendly staff.

Negative: No real complaints, just something to note velux blinds didnt seem to work very well. Green glow from emergency lighting was rather bright.

Positive: Convenient last minute booking, with easy self check-in. The room was clean and the bathroom exceptionally good.

Negative: There are two skylights in the room, neither of which have a working blind. The blinds cannot be pulled down fully which means that early morning sunlight comes into the room. This was a bit annoying as it is summer. This needs to be fixed. Additionally, there was a bright green emergency light in the room which was irritatingly bright. I appreciate the need for safety etc but have stayed in many hotels where such a light is not present. This meant the room was not fully dark. This is especially difficult with two young children.

Summary: Overall a good stay but the room is too light due to non working blinds and bright emergency light.

Positive: There is no breakfast. I liked the clean room and bathroom. Can’t rate the staff because there wasn’t any, I collected the key from a collection point outside the pub, being given the code. Hard to locate the entrance as the email said black door with black railings, there is no such thing, the door was gray and the railings were green.

Negative: Don’t get fooled regarding their location. The Fox Inn is listed at 0,8 miles from Castle Combe. I imagined I’ll walk from Castle Combe to the Fox Inn. In reality, I had to order an Uber, they’re 40 min away by car from Castle Combe! I arrived there 9 pm with 2 kids and no place to take dinner as the nearest pub closed their kitchen at 9pm.
