Positive: Location, parking, friendly helpful staff, large bedroom.

Negative: The kitchen didn't have many utensils or plates or glasses or cutlery or even a washing up bowl. Nothing much for cooking really apart from an air fryer (never used). But when we asked, requested items were promptly provided. The kitchen needs organising (there was no cutlery tray or anywhere for a tea towel). A toaster would be good. In the bedroom, the television is small and there are no comfortable chairs to sit and watch, only the bed or table chairs.

Summary: We will return and hope a few kitchen improvements have been made.

Positive: Lovely owners, helped us with check in and made everything clear. Above the pub which is convenient although sadly didn’t have time to dine. Nice spacious rooms and good facilities with shared kitchen and bathroom.

Positive: The authenticity of the place, the warm welcome. Staying here felt like staying at my grandma's house, with a warm welcome and a room that was made up with care.

Positive: The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. It was very clean and the shared bathroom and the kitchen were immaculate. The owner was very helpful. It was only an 8 minute walk to Surbiton Station and there is free car parking.

Negative: The heating was on and it was absolutely roasting hot when we got back to our room at about 1am! We managed to turn the radiator down and was ok after that. The road outside is quiet in the middle of the night but quite busy in the morning. This was not a problem for us as we left on a Sunday, so it was quieter anyway, but if you were staying during the week I imagine the road could be a bit loud if you are a light sleeper

Negative: Nothing, I’ve think they’ve made the upstairs of the pub into some lovely accommodation.

Positive: Exceptionally friendly host and bar staff. Mick went out of his way to make me feel welcome and looked after. The room was big, airy and comfortable and I couldn't hear the bar downstairs. The team have done a great job renovating the rooms.

Negative: Nothing really tbh...one of the shared bathroom doors was hard to close but that didn't bother me.
