Summary: We just needed a bed for the night but it wasn’t clean. Hair in floor and sheets. Clearly under refurbishing so maybe will improve

Summary: I stayed at The Fountain for the SOAD concert at Tottenham Hotspur Spurs on 15th July. Having read the reviews I was quite apprehensive. But I was pleasantly surprised. The bar was lovely, you could tell they'd put some effort into the refurbishment of it and a pint was around £5.40. The stairs to the rooms are steep as others have mentioned and the corridors are narrow. But that wasn't an issue for me. I had one of the refurbished rooms and I was quite pleased. The rooms are larger than most London hotel rooms, very nicely decorated, a comfy bed, a decent shower and there was breakfast cereal and milk provided. Bedsheets clean, towels provided even a floor fan - which was needed in London heat. Negatives would be that it could do with a little more attention to detail on the cleanliness front, but it's not awful. The entrance is in need of tidying up and better presentation, but in know they are working on this. The staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming felt welcomed. There was no "London" noise overnight, so slept a full 7 hours. The area, as others say, is a little undesirable when walking late at night. But we didn't have any issues.

Summary: In severe need of TLC. Appeared to be work ongoing, but poor state for our stay. The room was unbearably hot, mould in the shower and very poor drainage, leading to overflow onto the floor. Not value for money.

Summary: Great stay for the price. Free parking, good size room, clean and quiet. Some building work going on in the entrance but nothing to worry about. Would use again

Summary: Affordable, good location - does the job, but do not stay when in a heatwave. No air con or fan and small window in ceiling so it was absolutely sweltering. Room wasn’t overly clean.

Summary: Not a hotel, just a pub with accommodation attached. We were told that check-in would be available mid-morning but it wasn’t. Calls to the phone number were unanswered. Basic facilities okay, price reasonable but places like this should not be allowed to call their premises a hotel.

Summary: You get what you pay for, for the price it wasn’t bad, the room was tidy and cereal and make was provided for a quick breakfast.

Summary: The room was good but the stay was marred by a severe lack of communication from the hotel in advance. I was arriving late from overseas but despite numerous attempts to contact the hotel by phone and via hotels.com, I was only finally able to make contact an hour before I took off. I was on the verge of booking a different hotel because I was concerned I would not be able to gain access. This resulted in undue stress which was completely unavoidable.
