Positive: Very well maintained property. Gardens and farm sheds, all in great condition. Great kitchen. Firewood supplied and very warm fireplace, easy to light and warmed up swiftly. Good water pressure and water was quick to heat. Mattresses were very comfortable. Plenty of options for heating the bedrooms with electric blankets, quilts, oil heater and ducted heating if you wished. Dog friendly which was wonderful and the pup loved exploring the property.

Negative: Because the property is on a bend, it was not easy to see the number of the property. There is only a small sign which gives the holiday rental company name but it would be great to have the name of the property in a large sign on the fence. A code is needed to open the gate but that wasn't provided, so needed to ring the rental company for that but they were quick to assist and that all worked fine. No undercover parking but no issue for us, just take an umbrella in case.

Summary: A relaxing, cosy, well maintained property with easy access to the Southern Highlands area.

Positive: The beautiful light, garden and farmland views through the windows AND THE BEAUTIFUL LOG FIRE. The supply of wood was generous, along with great kindling, it was very easy to light and burned well (though did burn quickly).. linen on the beds and quality of bedding was good. The house was clean and well equipped. Nice to have a bath option and laundry very helpful. We loved wandering the gardens to see the chooks, lamas (or were they alpacas) in the distance, the stroll around the old barns with their post and rail fences adjoining and especially the beautiful country lane that was bordered by trees - we used these settings as a backdrop for some photos.

Negative: Upon arrival we couldn’t find the key pad for the gate. It is hidden behind a nearby post. Signage needed. Would have been nice if the central heating had been switched on before we arrived as took a while for the house to warm up. It was very difficult bringing all the luggage and food into the house from where the cars were parked.. the ground is uneven and grass damp.. no distinct path to the front door, which is about 150-200 metres from the car parking place. We reduced this difficulty by parking the cars up near the gate for when we had to pack the cars up to leave…reducing the distance to about 70 metres. But still no path. My mother is 85 and uses a walker so while do-able it was a bit of a negative.
