This cozy, clean cabin is perfectly located in Shaver Lake’s sought-after East Village. Just 1/4 mile from the lake 🛶 and walking distance to local shops and restaurants 🍽️ — it's the ideal base for your mountain getaway 🌲.Shaver Lake offers the perfect climate — cool summers ☀️ and mild winters ❄️ — and an endless list of outdoor adventures: hiking, fishing , boating , skiing , sledding , horseback riding , snowmobiling, and more!

The cabin is for families and friend getaways only, no parties. We are the owners, not a rental agency. We have neighbors who live next to our cabin year round and we want to respect that.
The Elderberry Retreat is located in the very popular east village and the closest you can get to the lake as far as cabin rentals!

Two-story, 1444 square feet outfitted to suit the needs of a modern vacationer. Beautiful new hardwood flooring throughout! A fully equipped kitchen provides a user-friendly space to cook a meal. A washer and dryer in the cabin are perfect for soggy ski clothes. Entertainment options like flat-screen TVs mean you can cozy up with a good movie next to the fireplace! Large deck with table and chairs in the summertime, with a good cup of joe in hand (complimentary selection of coffee and hot cocoa are offered, of course).
We have a crockpot, waffle maker, and flat griddle great for pancakes or crepes! We have a nice covered bbq area with a charcoal bbq. You will need to bring charcoal. Wifi, 2 flat-screen TVs equipped with Blu-ray players so you can access your fav programs via Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or other, DVD library, bocce ball, corn hole, foosball, and board games.
The cabin has two bedrooms, each with queen beds and dressers. The loft has two double beds and a full pull out couch. New mattresses and linens.
Linens - We DO provide clean linens
Towels - We DO provide clean bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.
Toiletries - We DO provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap for each bathroom.

As part of our effort to help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely to provide you with the below protection. There is no public transportation in Shaver Lake. In the winter you will want a 4 wheel drive vehicle or snow chains.
Things to bring:
Warm clothes. The evenings can get cool even in the summer.
Sun screen, paper plates, napkins. We have plenty of dishes, but do not have a dishwasher. It is nice to have paper plates as an option should you not feel like cleaning up the kitchen:)
Extra newspaper for the fire.

Summary: We stayed at the Elderberry House for a snow weekend with the grandkids. The home was perfect! The check in instructions were helpful, bedding and furniture were comfortable, and the location was perfect. Everything was provided. We will be back.

Summary: Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. Jamie was very responsive to any questions we had. It has an extremely well stocked kitchen and plenty of room upstairs for the kids. Since we were there during a heat wave, the A/C did make us comfortable in the afternoons. Plenty of room to park boat trailers. Bocce ball was a very big hit!

Summary: Our family has stayed in the Elderberry Retreat for two winters in a row now and we cannot recommend it enough. The location is great as its an easy walk into the village to restaurants and coffee shops. The cabin itself is great for a family. The kids love the loft and the front yard is large and the perfect place to play in the snow. The host is fantastic and very easy to work with. We cannot wait to return again next winter!

Summary: The Elderberry Retreat is a wonderful cabin. There was plenty of room for our family of 4. The kitchen was well stocked, clean, and overall felt very homey. Located is a quiet neighborhood just down the street from the main road. The Foosball table and games were a big hit.

Summary: It has cute little touches that enhance the ambiance of the cabin. The Cabin Host provides within the cabine everything you need to enjoy your vacation. We just had to bring our food and clothing and the rest is there. I love that we can walk to town and the lake from the Elderberry Retreat location. This was our second stay in this cute cabin and we'll be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: We stayed for a long weekend with 2 families with small kids. Great loft for kids to sleep in with 2 rooms for the adults. Short drive to China Peak. Appreciated all the cooking extras in the kitchen like small appliances, spices, and condiments. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: A clean, bright cabin-home, filled with fun games including bocce ball, foosball ball, all the necessary things (laundry, kitchen, good beds), plus a bottle of wine. A very relaxing spot and lovely neighborhood. The games were a big plus. We laughed so hard we cried! Highly recommend.
