Summary: Room spotless, super hi quality interior and bedding. Room location was 1/8 a mile from front desk with multiple elevators. Third party booking always gets treated badly is my experience.

Summary: We had a good stay. Not a great stay, a good stay. Our room and the public areas and restrooms were kept ship-shape and clean (not so much the spa, though). Requests were answered promptly, pleasantly and efficiently by staff. Kudos to housekeeping, engineering and wait staff. The historic nature of the hotel is appealing and it is decked out tastefully for the holidays. Our standard room was very clean and quiet. The walk-in shower was spacious w good water pressure. The room could use a refresh, though. The chairs have seen better days and the fridge would not maintain a suitably cold temperature. Engineering brought up a free-standing fridge that worked and the staffer who delivered and set it up couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. Spa services are overpriced and the spa in general is nothing to write home about. It seems small for the number of potential users. The lounge pool would be much more appealing if it was salt water not chlorine. The smell of chlorine was pervasive and uninviting after a massage. Spa maintenance was not up to snuff (clogged drain in women’s shower, towels left on floor and benches). Especially apparent later in the day.
