Positive: Spectacular home and breath taking views. Very welcoming host! We enjoyed our complimentary port. It was well worth the drive - but not for the faint of heart:)

Positive: We cannot recommend this property enough and would love to return. The house and grounds were beautiful and looked exactly like the photos, if not even better. Check in and out were seamless, and the free parking on site was great. Most notably our hosts Laurence and Jorge were fantastic- extremely responsive and easy to contact, happy to answer any questions and recommended several wineries and taxi companies to help us plan our trip. Thank you so much!

Positive: The location is superb in the area around, with such big house with a lot of plantings. The kitchen facilities are excellent with a lot of amenities for a family to use. There are two bathrooms and three toilets, very enough for a big group. There is laundry as well. We have a very comfortable stay indeed. Port wine is provided for us to taste and it is a warm treat by the host

Positive: In fabulous pristine condition. Owner has done a great job of setting it up with modern design and equipment. Awesome air con for what turned out to be 100 deg!

Negative: It’s not that we didn’t like it but the great view of the Duoro River could have been architecturally exploited by positioning larger view windows on view side. The view is a million dollar view

Summary: Perfect for a base in area. Could have spent aa lot more time here

Negative: The cleaning service (I assume) entered the house without permission or even ringing the bell. It felt like someone could enter the house at any time… honestly, it was very strange
