Positive: The property was SOLD & completely under CONSTRUCTION…was not aware of this before arrival.

Negative: Only restaurant onsite I have gone to 35 yrs has been SOLD and temporary one set up & food not good. Cold breakfast & coffee.

Summary: Disappointed Booking.com did not note this on site.

Positive: The nature in the are is absolutely stunning, relaxing and just what I was looking for.

Negative: It was a planned part of the holiday trip recommended by friends . We wanted to take the kids to the petting zoo and show them the southern breakfast , we were expecting beautiful view rooms. All of these were not available due to renovation that we were not aware of while booking it, said breakfast is available and petting zoo is there.and the rooms we saw on the website had wonderfull mountain view .However, the manager was kind enough to help us cancel one night , and we ended up staying less without the cancelation penalty.

Positive: I love the area. But there was a lot of construction. I know when it's all done it will be beautiful. I love the horses I loved the flowers and the huge trees and mountain views

Negative: A lot of construction but I know it will be beautiful. The Dillard house was only open on the weekend. I know it's only and little time till everything will get back to the old days when I used to come. I love the memories of past visits

Positive: The location was great! The view from the back deck was blocked by trees, but I guess I should have investigated more closely before booking.

Negative: More info about the view at the time of booking.

Summary: Very nice staff, they are doing a good job even in the midst of all of the remodeling

Negative: The staff was friendly and courteous. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The property is under renovation.

Positive: The location. It was central to the other places we wanted to go.

Negative: A lot of construction. The property is in the middle of major renovations. Also, the were working on Hwy 23/441 as well. made it difficult to get in an out of the propery.

Summary: it was enjoyable. I am sure it will be even better once the reno's are done.
