Summary: Let me start out by saying we’ve been to the crooked in multiple times before but hadn’t been since 2023. We got into our room and it hadn’t been cleaned, from the cobwebs on the windows to dust on the tables it was obvious… mould on the bathroom ceiling! The mattress on the bed had a massive dip in the middle of it, I joked with my wife I’m sure it was same 10years ago! Now we didn’t complain to any of the staff, it just felt such a shame to see if like it it now compared to how it used to be… The staff were absolutely amazing however, always smiling and super friendly, the food was alright, again I know times change but they used to have such a good standard which seems to have slipped!

Summary: Beautiful surroundings and wonderful staff, pub dinner and breakfast were lovely, unfortunately our room was very dusty and visible mold stains in bathroom, chaiselongue was visibly stained, room looked tired, on a plus side bedding was all fresh and clean, Was just a shame 4 poster bed was loose and wobbly needs some attention.

Summary: The bars, restaurant, and breakfast room are for want of a better word FILTHY I have stayed and visited this pub a few times since around 2013 nothing much has changed. I do admit we reported the toilet as not working and the next day it was fixed, the staff are brilliant but I think working a sinking ship. I would be interested to hear any return comments.

Summary: staff were lovely and friendly. shower stopped working while I was in there. had to use the kettle to wash off. Was told this was probably due to high demand on the water supply but when I spoke to them later they said I should have been told how to turn the water on outside the bathroom first and that I shouldnt have listened to the other staff as they didnt know what they were talking about. With hindsight this doesnt make sense as the water came on again after I had finished in there.

Good Guinness,,& it wants 2 b @ £7.00 a pint,,, Yes a nice 1 day , 1 night stay…b4 onward to Cornwall,,,Would recommend..👍🍻
