Travel Purpose: business

Positive: As we were away with six adults and eight children, the size and layout of the property really helped make for a fun weekend. The good-sized kitchen and dining room helped facilitate lots of hungry mouths quickly. The onsite restaurant was fantastic, door stop-sized bacon butties, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating.

Negative: Entering the property smelled a bit musty when first entering (opening windows around the property sorted that out). Disappointed with the size of the living room and the size of the TV there, as it couldn't accommodate a large number of people that the property supports.

Summary: First Dads trip was a success & the property really helped achieve this and would happily stay again

Positive: This was a great place to stay, for a large group of friends rather than family members (i.e., lots of single rooms and twin beds). We also hired Swallow Barn, which is much nicer than the photos suggest, and was great for both our morning yoga and daytime activities. Even though we had a lot of rain, it was lovely to be in the middle of a nature reserve, perfect for the dog as everyone was happy to volunteer while exploring. All the staff were lovely, very helpful, and we enjoyed brunch in the cafe after checking out to ease ourselves into departure.

Negative: A great place, so no complaints. The only draw back to the property for us was that there isn't comfortable sitting room that we could all get in, which would have been a bonus. However, we were 11 adults and could all get around the kitchen table no problem, so we brought in some of the comfortable chairs from other rooms to make it more convivial for the evenings.
