Summary: Five men on motorbikes on annual trip. We need someone quiet and safe for the bikes, somewhere to put our gear and good ale and a meal. The Cottage Inn met our requirements perfectly. OK, it could do with a refresh but it was good value for money. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Summary: The staff were all friendly and helpful. However the cleaning left a lot to be desired! I had to request that a small pool of clear liquid with white bits,which was on the floor next to the toilet, was cleared. Also the soap dish was very dirty and the towel rail was dusty and covered in drip marks. The liquid on the floor and soap were cleaned but the towel rail wasn't. The window sill and tops in the bedroom were very dusty. My sister had to ask for scum to be cleaned in the her bath! Her shower didn't work for the whole 3 days that we stayed. She reported it on the first night but it wasn't fixed. The water in her room took ages to warm up and the last evening she gave up after 10 mins of running it. There are bad carpet stains in the corridor and several places were wallpaper is peeling. The food was ok and portion size was good.

Summary: Staff were fabulous. Food was great and fairly priced. Service at reception and in restaurant was great. Sadly our stay was let down by housekeeping. Neither our room, nor our bathroom were cleaned. Our quilt was simply flicked over our bed. That was it. Not even our sink was cleaned. Poir show really.

Summary: Nice comfortable hotel, good friendly staff and a very good menu choice. Rooms okay and clean although shower could have more power and have a working thermostat. Water just too hot, overall all guys happy with stay and location

Summary: The accommodation setting being a pub with bed and breakfast rooms was perfect and situated in a beautiful area which could be explored either by walking or further sights of inferest by a short drive away. The pub area provided a plcae to have your evening meal as you would have to travel elsewhere if this wasn't an option. The food was home cooked a high standard providing very generous portions which was delicious. The room that we had was a double bsd with en suite bathroom with over the bath shower. Both of thess facilities are tired and could do with updating. The carpet in the bedroom was worn around the edges, the bath was narrow to sit in, I ended up having to use the bath rather than the shower as the switches for the shower did not regulate the temperature meaning you'd either have a very hot and freezing cold shower. Apart from the minor issues with the bathroom and dated/tired room, the hosts and staff were very friendly and helpful. The choice of food and options for breakfast were plentiful and again cooked to a good standard. Overall, I would recommend staying hefe solely due to the ammenities offered during your stay and the location of this property.
