The Copper Cottage.
This newly renovated home is fully furnished and sits above beautiful AllSports Muskrat lake!
This bi-level home if very spacious and sleeps 10 people easily. It also has and upper and lower deck to enjoy our beautiful Michigan weather and amazing views!
The entrance level of the home has a large living area with sofa bed, an extra sitting area, large bedroom and full bath. You can walk out unto the upper deck through either the living or bedroom area to relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
The lower level consists of the kitchen area with island, table and chairs and another sitting area. The master bedroom and full-size bathroom are also on the lower level along with the washer and dryer area. You can walk out unto the large lower deck through the sitting area on the lower level. This area is great for grilling, visiting or just relaxing. From the lower deck, you can take stairs down to the fire pit area to enjoy friends and family and a wonderful fire!
You have your own private beach and dock. There is also a sandbar out in the middle of the lake, if you'd rather venture out. Muskrat lake is known for its great fishing and although it isn't a private lake, it's very peaceful and quiet (even on the busiest dates!) Our rental does sit above the lake so a golf cart will be provided during your stay to help get you up and down to your private beach and dock if you'd like.
If interested in a quiet get away during the fall and winter months, come check us out!
Enjoy the peaceful area or maybe try out one of the two ski lodges within 18 miles of us. Or maybe you'd rather do some cross-country skiing on the Kal-Haven trail or check out the old school arcade in Gobles just a few miles away! There is also ice fishing too! just please be aware if ice fishing is what you are intending to do, we can't guarantee when the lake will be frozen over (it is Michigan after all!) Also, we unfortunately don't have transportation down to the lake during the winter months.

Summary: This was the 11th annual vacation with grandkids; now ages 4 to 14. I believe this was the best yet. Beautiful setting, perfect beach & lake for young children! Kids had a blast & everything in house as presented plus. Very careful planning by host to accommodate a relaxing and memorable vacation. We hope to make this our annual get-a-away location! Summary: This was our third, and apparently last, stay at The Copper Cottage. The town is passing an ordinance restricting short-term rentals so it will no longer be available. However, we can't say enough about how lovely and responsive the owner has been. The lake is a lot of fun and Lake Michigan is a short drive away. We tried fishing this trip and, while we didn't get a full meal for our efforts, we had fun. We will miss this place!

Summary: Excellent hosts in all respects. A roomy very well- furnished house with more than enough room for the 10- person capacity stated in the ad. The decks have beautiful views of the lake, comfortable chairs, and both gas and charcoal grills. Fire pit in front of the house and down by the lake. The beach area is perfect for children and adults. Fishing was excellent, caught crappie, bluegills, and largemouth bass - all on worn and bobber. Took the pontoon boat out one afternoon and that was great as well. This is an excellent value and relaxing place.

Summary: The Copper Cottage looks small, but has plenty of room on the inside. There were five of us, but this home could easily accommodate more. The beds were comfy and the home was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen has a very cool stove from the fifties that worked great! The small private beach area was perfect for relaxing and fishing. We were very satisfied with our stay. Thank you.

Summary: 5 stars all around, would give more if i could. Listing is 100% accurate. The house was extremely clean and the views were probably my favorite part. I sat on the balcony for hours, reading my book, soaking up the sunlight and the lakefront views! So quiet and peaceful, exactly what i needed for a little "me time" getaway. The owners also provide a golf cart to get up and down the hill to the lake, where there is a small private beachfront. I absolutely cannot wait to come back! The owners were exceptional, super friendly and helpful. Don't wait on this listing. BOOK IT!

Summary: Our second time at The Copper Cottage and, despite less than ideal weather, we had a great time. Watching the storms on the lake from the cozy cottage was actually quite relaxing. Hope, the host, was very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely be staying here again!

Summary: The property was very clean and neat, the area was beautiful granted we were there when it was a bit too cold for the lake it’s a perfect place for a summer trip. Would definitely book with Hope again she was very easy to reach and very helpful with any questions we had about the property. If I had to change one thing it would be to stay longer.
