Summary: The room and the bathroom are small and not clean. All the carpets are dirty. The restaurant is good. The reception staffs are kind and efficient.

Summary: We stayed in the main part of the Colony in a beautiful ocean view room. While this is the older building it is well maintained and absolutely charming. The check in process was handled beautifully and we we treated very well throughout our stay. Jared and Steve were very kind. The older building does not have air conditioning but during our early September stay that was not a problem at all and it was actually so nice to have the windows open and feel the ocean breeze. We look forward to returning in the future.

Summary: Not the same Colony. Breakfast no longer included with overnight stay. Optional buffet is now $22/pp. Room was not well serviced- no soap in the shower, no toiletries other than makeup remover wipes. No dinner service in the main dining room. We’ve been staying at The Colony for almost 30 years. Never again.

Summary: Hotel is beautiful. Upfront we knew there was no TV or a/c. Ceiling fan doesn’t really adequately cool the room. WiFi is very weak so not easy to use your devices. Room door lock and key need updating. Only 3 prong wall outlet is on the bathroom. Staid in the main building knowing there is a newer building with TV and a/c. But the main building and the location with the view are the reasons to visit. Staff was very nice.

Summary: Way over priced for the quality of the property, pool water was almost green and turned any white on our entire group of 12 bathing suites yellow the first day so refused to get in the rest of our week stay, very disappointing. Water was also very cold in the end of july,obliviously not heating it, property grounds were not kept up,no longer breakfast included with huge increase in price to stay, bar closed very early..used to be alot of fun there .housekeeping was not good either, trash left all over property daily..its was very disappointing this year...been going there for many yrs and the changes are not for the better

Summary: There are so many delightful things about this historic hotel but not with this last visit. I stayed here about 9 years ago with my family and could not wait to return some day. We got a last minute booking—that cost $900! I thought I would splurge because of how much I loved the hotel. Unfortunately, there was a large wedding and the room they placed us in was right over the party-loud DJ and drunk people. Not ok! We couldn’t relax and enjoy the hotel at all and it was so hot it was impossible to be comfortable. There should be consideration of other guests that shouldn’t have to endure a terrible stay. We will never return.

Summary: A beautiful, historic hotel overlooking the ocean with a heated pool. Our room was stunning, with ocean views and breezes. It is nostalgic and peaceful, and the marine room restaurant was great for delicious lobster rolls at lunch. We felt the breakfast buffet was disappointing, and some of the staff were not pleasant, but it wouldn't stop us from returning.

Summary: The property itself is beautiful and well maintained, with gorgeous grounds and a great overall atmosphere. We were fortunate to have mild weather during our stay, but I can see how the rooms could become uncomfortable on hotter days. The rooms are on the smaller side, the beds weren't very comfortable, and the overall upkeep of the rooms could use some improvement. That said, the amenities really made our stay enjoyable. The pool was fantastic, the food on the property was very good, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Having direct access to the beach was definitely a highlight and made for a relaxing stay.
