Positive: Overall,we had a pleasant stay at the Colintraive Inn. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the co- owner likewise. Our room needed a little TLC,but was acceptable . Our only negative experience was one dinner (out of three) which was to be frank shambolic, a consequence of an extremely busy evening,I think. In fairness,this we were not charged for it and in fact we're offered a drink on the house. The breakfasts were excellent. A decent stay overall and we would definitely return. Show quoted text

Positive: Love the Colintraive! The location is absolutely stunning, the staff are friendly and the food is good. This is the third or fourth time staying over there and it never gets tired.

Negative: This time around, the food was a little tired - we ate towards the end of the night and you could tell. It wasn't awful by any means, but by the C's usual standards it felt a bit like it had been hanging around for a while. Otherwise, no problems at all.

Positive: Breakfast was ok. Staff were friendly but they did not seem organised. I got the impression they had not been open long and were still feeling their way. Location was good for us as it fitted into our travel plans. Dinner menu was a bit limited.

Negative: The bill had several errors in it but the total was about what I expected.

Summary: Good for us for 2 nights, but if we go again I will try somewhere on Bute

Positive: Stunning location. Comfortable beds with good quality linen, toiletries and towels. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff

Negative: Rooms could do with a makeover but I already knew this from the website. This didn't detract from my enjoyment
