Summary: A lovely traditional hotel with wonderful accommodation. Our room had a beautiful, deep bath, big enough for two, plus a proper strong shower. The hotel is spotless and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful

Summary: It was a very comfortable stay for us. Good Service and very clean. The breakfast was good perhaps could have been a bit hotter.

Summary: Lovely room, friendly staff. Continental breakfast included was really good as well. The bar was quite lively downstairs (Friday night), but doesn’t stay open past midnight so not a big issue. Would recommend A *

Summary: Lovely staff and building. Worth paying extra for cooked breakfast. Everywhere beautifully decorated with ambiance. If you’re staying for longer ask for a bigger room than no. 12 as virtually no storage or seating space. Suited us fine for 1 night.

Summary: We stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We were checked in quickly and cheerfully even though the pub was very busy. Our room was spacious and attractive with a lovely bathroom with bath and shower. The room and the public areas were very clean and well-maintained. We ate dinner in the pub/restaurant with our family who live nearby. Food and service were excellent. We had been told that there would be a cold breakfast box delivereD to our room on Christmas morning as the pub was closed all day. This was okay for us. On Boxing Day morning the kitchen was open and we had a choice of dishes cooked to order. Very nice. Checkout was quick and cheerful again. Minor criticism of the room was no chairs to sit on which made our Christmas Day breakfast a bit uncomfortable. Also, the bathroom mirror was very high up the wall so I couldn’t see in it, and the one in the bedroom was not very well lit, otherwise very comfortable. We would return.
