Positive: The Cheese House is beautifully restored and decorated. It was perfect for 3 of us, very comfortable and cosy. We liked everything about it,the grounds around it, the quiet country setting and the roses and lavender were in full bloom while we were there. There were 2 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms, a very cosy sitting room/ dining area. Parking on the grounds and garden furniture for sunny days. There is a small supermarket about a kilometer away. We ate dinner in the "6 Bells" a few miles away, a very good meal. A very pleasant stay.

Negative: The road leading to the Manor and Cheese House is very narrow, take care.

Summary: Go back in time in the quaint Cheese House.

Positive: It's rare to find a property that exceeds expectation but this most certainly did. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Our cottage – the Cheese house - was absolutely gorgeous. Quaint and true to the original style, yet with all the modern conveniences. Very clever use of space and immaculately clean. Everybody we came across on the property was friendly and helpful, and Lorraine brought us fresh eggs for the mornings. A special shout out to Heather who helped us with an unexpected need of a wheelchair. Without missing a beat she researched where we could find one, and even made the phone call to reserve it for us - thank you, it was so much appreciated!

Positive: Very quaint.

Negative: Felt a little bit overdone, a bit overdressed and almost themed. Was very cold when we arrived and took a while to warm up. Upstairs carpet could do with replacing. Not suitable for four adults as single beds are kids size. Asked over the phone for a complimentary late check out, was told not available and it would cost £20, cheaper than the £40 when I queried on booking.com. …..wouldn’t stay again, £470 for one night is a lot of money.
