Positive: What an amazing place! Extremely charming, multilevel property, perched at the top of the castle district, and completely tucked into lush greenery that provides relief from the heat and lovely shade for breakfast. The breakfast is one of the best we've had, plentiful and varying. But the most amazing thing are the staff, the husband and wife team who manage the property. They truly go out of their way to help you with anything - luggage, car parking, reservations in coveted restaurants, earlier breakfast... They are just absolutely fabulous, as are the property views of the rolling hills that will remind you of Tuscany.
Summary: You will want to stay here forever...

Positive: The hotel is very cute, has an approx. 4 km distance from the town of Gökçeada. The rooms are clean, beautiful and cozy. Breakfast is served individually on the table in front of your room or wherever you choose to sit in the garden. No buffet, no stress, no noise and annoying people. Every day they prepare a slightly different breakfast and it is fresh, delicious and enough to bring you through the day. The owner as well as the staff are all very friendly. At times we felt as we were on a private visit at a friends place as they are very welcoming, helpful and down to earth people. The island itself has a natural beauty to it. If you are searching for a silent, beautiful environment with no luxurious big hotels, shops, night clubs, restaurants then this is your place. Otherwise you might be disappointed. You need definitely a vehicle as the different beaches are quite a distance from each other and you would miss the beauty if you only stay on one spot. If you are afraid of cats and goats be prepared they are everywhere and it is really lovely and cute to see the freedom of the animals. The beaches are beautiful whether you like sandy or rocky beaches. Water is always clear and to my taste not that cold. Big plus on this. We will recommend this hotel definitely further.
Negative: Trash is everywhere. Midst a beautiful place you will find empty bottles, cans, plastic bags (en masse), etc. etc. Such a beautiful island and the nature is destroyed by disrespectful people who are not able to walk a few meters to the -everywhere available - big trash containers. I think the government should act here harshly because some sights are enraging and to see the irrelevance can drive you crazy.

Positive: Location of the place is right at the ancient castle.  it is close both to the village center and “Yildiz” beach. The architecture of the place creates a perfect area for families.  almost every room has its own private terrace. You definitely need a car if you want to see rest of the island or to go to the center of the town 
Negative: The price is a little bit high, and beddings could be better. If you have a car parking is not that convenient. Driving in the narrow streets of the castle could be tricky for people who are not familiar with this situation.
