Positive: Beautiful property and grounds which you are able to walk around

Negative: Few teething problems upon arrival, but resolved in a timely manner. No instruction or guest book available. No enclosed garden so unable to let the dog out on their own

Positive: Lovely property with great views. Immaculately clean throughout and nicely decorated. Very cosy and warm with radiators and under floor heating. Our dogs loved the grounds and were exhausted watching wildlife. Patrick sent really helpful info on walks and restaurants - which we took advantage of. Both restaurants in Cartmel were excellent. Little extras left at property were great- tea, coffee, dishwasher and washing tablets. Pub within a 20 minute walk (no paths) away which was very nice. Would recommend.

Negative: If you are taking dogs (that have poor recall or will chase pheasants, rabbits etc) keep on lead as garden insecure - spent an hour trying to find ours on day one which wasn’t ideal. Road behind property is a county road with national speed limit, noise def not an issue - but I did panic dogs had ran that way … Idyllic thoughts of letting dogs run around garden whilst we relaxed in hot tub didn’t quite materialise!! Worth knowing no taxi service in Kirkby Lonsdale but you can get one from Kendal.

Summary: Lovely property, views and host. But be careful if taking inquisitive dogs!

Positive: Quality of everything from fixtures to bed linen and kitchen also really well looked after if we had a question. Hot tub under the stars in Winter was a real treat.

Positive: It was stylish yet so comfortable. Everything we needed was available in the accommodation. It was extremely clean and we loved how the sunlight came through in the top floor through ceiling windows. The gardens were beautiful and so tranquil. We were the only guests on the property which made it extra peaceful and relaxing. We requested a baby cot when we arrived which was brought to us promptly, thank you.

Positive: Beautiful property with everything your need for a restful break. Fantastic location with easy access to both the Yorkshire Three Peaks and the Lakes. The accommodation is very comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub too. The kitchen is well equipped and the biscuits and coffee were a great addition. Host was contactable and helpful but not intrusive, good communication and we are already planning another trip. Thank you Patrick.
