Positive: Everything about the Byre is a delight! The property spoke to us the minute we arrived. It is exceptionally well designed and appointed. The Byre is warm, cozy, modern, and comfortable. The view was peaceful and spectacular - both at once. Communication and information about all aspects of the stay is precise and comforting. The location is a true getaway, yet we walked to the Stein for dinner and enjoyed drives to key landmarks. We would fly from Australia again to stay longer at the Byre.

Negative: There is nothing not to like at the Byre.

Summary: An immaculate, vista-rich, romantic getaway worth travelling to experience

Positive: Clear and easy instructions, and wow, what a view! The host came to greet us and was so kind, offering recommendations for our stay on Skye. The view is unbeatable.

Positive: Fabuous location with great views from the house. Easy 10minute walk to fantastic Loch Bay restaurant and Stein inn; toasty and warm when weather turned wet and cold ( temp dropped 10 degrees from one day to next !). It house core temp was super comfortable with extra heating ( electric towel rail and radiator ) of required . Washing machine and clothes rack provided

Negative: Whilst this was fine for us, and clear in the photos , it should be noted , Cottage is very compact - so virtually no bench space in kitchen for any food prep ( but kitchen is well equipped and great pub and restaurant walking distance, so not much food prep required by us )bedroom on mezzanine level with sloping roof , up spiral stairs , so no room to stand up / have travel bags in bedroom ( plenty of shelves for packing cells etc in bed room, just no floor space for bags)

Positive: Me and my boyfriend both work in a fast paced environment so staying at They Byre was an amazing change to our lives. The pictures don't show just how amazing the views are. Windows in the bedroom were phenomenal especially at night when all the stars came out. Truly magical. The host was increadibly friendly and communicative. Would reccommend to anyone considering staying there!!

Negative: The sofa could be slightly larger but this is not something that would decrease our rating of the accommodation

Summary: If we ever come back to Waternish we will be booking our stay at The Byre again

Positive: Great location, the view out of the large windows was stunning. I enjoyed having breakfast and dinner look out at the view. It's a quirky property ideal for a young couple or loan traveller. Very high standard of finish throughout with handy notes here and there to help you stay. extremely comfy bed and great shower! The host was also excellent. Very helpfull and a good communicator. I cannot fault anything.

Negative: nothing. It's a great place. Stay here with confidence. although less mobile people might struggle with the spiral staircase up to the bedroom but personally, I loved that feature.
