Summary: This is an old historic property that is both a hotel and restaurant. Free parking a plus. The restaurant is being renovated and so it’s a construction sight. There is no lobby or public space ad such. The room was clean, comfortable but not at all up to date and needing a refresh.

Summary: Hotel was centrally located and was great for what we needed it for. The restaurant downstairs is closed and in the midst of renovation so there is no staff around. Rooms are very dated, but clean. If you're looking for a No Frills place to sleep, this place is it. It was very quiet, which was nice.

Summary: A quaint stay for heritage hearts. Newton Village offers plenty of cute/cozy places to eat, drink, and stroll about. The Rocco Restaurant and 4th floor are under renovation. Truly it would be a spectacular venue once construction is completed and amenities are updated.

Summary: This beautiful historical property is right where you want to be in historic downtown. The listed amenities are unavailable as it is currently under renovation. At the time of my visit, the patio, restaurant and common areas on the first floor were inaccessible. A coffee bar is available for guests in the meantime & a list of alternative restaurant options is provided. I was there to rest so cut my visit short as it wasn’t relaxing with active remodeling. Ended up leaving a day early. The owner was open to an early checkout if someone else took the reservation though I ended up paying for the last day. The on hand staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Absolutely worth a stay with a clear understanding of what you are walking into. The Brick Hotel is in the process of reacting its potential.

Summary: I came in late at night and was nearly taken by the aura of the inn. Apparently it dates back to the 1760s. My room had high ceilings and fine wood details likely from the early 19th century or maybe late 18th century. If you're a history buff, you can't have a better location than this because Newtown is full of colonial houses and colonial era history from William Penn onwards.

Summary: When I arrived, there was no staff there. Access is via a long, steep staircase, with no elevator. I had 2 heavy bags to drag up the stairs by myself. The next day, the manager did help me carry items to my car, and the night before I left she took my suitcase down the stairs. The hotel has no ice machine and no mini fridge in the room. There is a hair dryer, but instructions say if n you use it, turn off heat or A/C to avoid blowing a fuse! The room floor was uneven, and there was a wide gap between the floor and the bottom of the entry door. Very small TV, with volume set so low almost impossible to hear. No table in the room, and only 1 drawer for storage. Only bathroom amenity, other than hair dryer, was tiny bar soap and shampoo. Fortunately I always come over-prepared, so I was OK.

Summary: When the Gps said we arrived I had to call the hotel because it didn’t look the picture on the app. The hotel looked like it was in disarray and under construction. When we walked inside there was a stale smell like the building did not have enough air flow. However the person who picked up the phone was very nice. When we went upstairs to the room the floors are really old and uneven so be careful. The room was nice but the door did not have a threshold so anyone staying could hear everything. We placed a large blanket under the door. However the bed was comfortable. There is also a restaurant on the first floor but it was closed and under construction but the owner placed information for breakfast spots. Overall, it was ok for a one night stay.

Summary: Location in central Newtown was terrific. The main floor restaurant was shut down. No elevators to third floor so 42 steps to the third floor and no bell staff so dragging all your bags up was not a good start. No hot water in the shower. Got moved to second floor was an improvement. Historic hotel (opened during Civil War) was alluring but couldn’t recommend it.
