Positive: Beautifully presented and well equipped cottage with generous space. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Quiet and great views across the country.

Negative: Narrow Devon lanes require a certain amount of cold courage (especially of Australians used to wide roads) by drivers!

Positive: We had a wonderful stay in the Brick Barn. It was spotlessly clean (the cleanest self-catering property we have stayed in). It is spacious, with high-quality furnishings and a lovely outdoor space to sit. The extra downstairs toilet and tv in the bedroom, as well as downstairs, were welcome bonuses. Although the weather wasn't very good, Jackie had thought of everything so that we were able to enjoy our stay in Devon, with the homemade cake, fresh flowers, and all the extras that made this beautiful place feel like home.

Negative: Nothing, everything was perfect.

Positive: Wonderful host Jackie who was very friendly providing delicious welcome cake and biscuits. The cottage had everything we needed and was in a beautiful location, one we worked out the best way to reach the A30. One of the best self catering properties we’ve estate in.

Positive: It was in a beautiful location, with everything you need for your stay. Very comfortable and stylishly furnished. Host Jackie was amazing and couldn't do enough for us. She'd baked a delicious Victorian sponge cake for us on arrival, we said we'd definitely come back, we enjoyed it so much.

Negative: No big supermarkets close by, only local store but just plan ahead and bring what you need with you and you'll be fine.

Positive: The host, Jackie was so welcoming and had gone to the trouble of little extras (homemade cake and biscuits) to welcome us. The property was very clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Location is excellent - easy access to attractions including Castle Drogo, Fingle Bridge, RHS Rosemoor and lovely countryside walks but had the feeling of being away from it all.

Negative: There is nothing we didn't like.
