Summary: Newly refurbished downstairs. Parking good. Staff friendly. Only ate breakfast which was ok. Bathroom recently refurbished but had some issues which had to be sorted by staff. Not ideal at nearly 9.00 p.m. Bedroom itself dated.

Summary: Pub undergoing renovations so rooms with packed breakfast only (no problem for us). Spacious bedroom with good mattress, pillows and lovely linen. Particularly appreciated having the plug-in fan during the heatwave (thoughtful touch. Good bathroom (looked newly appointed) with great shower, window you could open a lot or a little, long shelf for toiletries (often missing then a soap bag ends up on top of the loo, but not here). There was a rail below the decent sized basin for hand towel (again often missing). Towel rail big enough for two towels. Flannels provided with towels (they rarely are). These may seem small things but they added greatly to our comfort when staying here. Generous packed breakfast with cereal, instant porridge, pastries and fruit. Particular liked proper milk provided in kilner bottles, ditto orange juice. Thank you.

Summary: Great reception on arrival, large comfortable room. Dining options were excellent and the portions huge and well presented. Breakfast the same and wonderfully cooked. All staff were polite and welcoming and will definitely return when in the area. 10/10 from me

Summary: We have stayed at the Boot before. The pub is great for staying in and the staff are very friendly. I found the room (number 5) spacious and pretty well kept but my partner was a bit spooked by the room. She found it a little creepy with all the nick-nacks. The staff provided us with an early breakfast which was very much appreciated as we had to leave early (5.30am). The only real negative was that the TV wouldn't work.
