Relax in almost 1000 square feet of living space. A great location for Mount Washington seekers and just 15 minutes from downtown Courtenay. The Blue Roost home was built in 2018 and ready to welcome up to 6 guests. Your hosts, Heather and Allan, have lived in the Comox Valley for 27 years and are happy to share their expertise as you explore all the Comox Valley has to offer.
The Blue Roost has two bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs with an open concept kitchen and living space downstairs. We provide the makings for a full breakfast, complete with farm fresh eggs, bread, jam, coffee and more for your first morning. A welcome package also awaits your arrival.
The property is just over an acre, providing ample parking for vehicles, boats and trailers. We also offer a secure storage space for any gear you may have - skiis, bikes, boating equipment, etc. Portable heaters are available for this space.
We are situated in Merville, a peaceful farming community just 10 minutes north of Courtenay. The Blue Roost home is located on a quiet country road with many of our neighbours having chickens, goats and horses. The Blue Roost is a tranquil living space.

Summary: This is an amazing property. Every time, I thought "Oh, I forgot to bring ... (whatever)", I opened a drawer and there it was! The location is superb - close to all of our favourite nature / birding trails and best of all a great jumping off point for the Forbidden Plateau hiking up Mount Washington. You cannot go wrong renting this property. Thank you Allan & Heather for thinking of everything.

Summary: We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids ages 12 and 14) and stayed for 4 nights. We were welcomed with fresh eggs, milk, homemade jam, fresh ground coffee and bread in the fridge aa well as a welcome basket. This place is impeccable, clean, well stocked and on a quiet road, just a short drive time Courtney. Allan and Heather, the owners were lovely, had lots of great advice on places to check out and ensured we were happy with our stay, throughout the time we were there. Such a great place! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again in the future!
