Positive: Great pub, staff excellent - food good. Lady on reception (Michelle?) was very helpful, professional & friendly. It’s nice to see. Thank you

Negative: The beds are very uncomfortable. Having been shown our room, we checked the mattress and it was heavily soiled. I asked the lady in reception and on inspection she confirmed they would give us another room. Unfortunately that mattress too was uncomfortable-they are probably very old. Mattresses need to be replaced - properly fitting mattress and pillow protectors should be used.

Summary: Definitely would go again but will only stay overnight if the mattress’s are replaced

Positive: The food at the Black Horse was very good, both at dinner and breakfast. The rooms are comfortable. All facilities were dog-friendly and walks in the area were easily accessible.

Negative: It would have been good to have a room with a large double bed on offer.

Positive: Quiet, clean and convenient place to stay. Very welcoming staff and excellent facilities for our dog.

Negative: No wifi in the room which was disappointing. There was also a green light located on the ceiling (emergencg light) which was very bright at night.
