Summary: Very easy to check in, get settled, and reasonably priced. I will be staying again when coming to visit my family again.

Summary: Upon arriving, I was greeted with a room that was infested with house flies. There were easily 30-40 of them. So disturbing. I was afraid to open the closet for fear of what might be in there! There is no front desk person and it was a digital self check. So, it was not clear what I should do. I proceeded to kill as many as I could and called it a night. Photo is of one group of my kills! I found a number to call the next morning and a nice fellow that lives on site answered. He said he was going to relay the issue to the owner. I never heard from anybody again. The lack of an interest or consideration from the management to simply acknowledge the issue with a courtesy call or email prompted me to write this review. It’s a cute little motel with some simple design updates to the room. Could do with an extra chair and a small credenza to set your stuff. Other than the gross flies, it’s your typical little motel made to look modern. Overpriced for what is and definitely so for my stay.

Summary: Jacob, the reception manager at The Birches went above and beyond to help me resolve an issue with a double booking issue I had with Expedia and secure my refund. Expedia still has an old account of mine from twenty years ago listing a yahoo email I no longer use. You cannot get a human being to help in real time at Expedia. I have tried for years to get Expedia to use only my new account and associated email to no avail. I had only one booking showing on my Expedia app until check in time when ai called Jacob directly at The Birches. THANK YOU JACOB !

Summary: I found the floor to be extremely dirty, blood stains on the mattress bedding, tiny bathroom and shower, i wouldn't stay again.

Summary: My stay was "okay". Its fine for a night, but its not a cool old motel refresh like i thought. Very cheaply done, and things were pretty worn. But it wasnt filthy or felt unsafe. Just not great. You can do better in the area.
