Summary: The property was beautifully restored. The breakfast was very good. However, there were no handicapped ramps. The steps on the back porch were made of wood but were uneven and there was a narrow concrete step at the bottom. As I was going down the steps I stepped on the concrete step and fell on my bottom, and my head hit the carport wall. I have been in excruciating pain since the fall. The doctors have diagnosed a compression fracture and pinched nerves. I will have a procedure that may relieve my back pain in the next few days. I have been in bed since this happened. I’m unable to sleep or walk because of the accident. Any future people should be made aware that this property has no handicap rooms or entrance and exit ramps for those of us who use canes wheelchairs or other assistance equipment.

Summary: Excellent experience! From the time we arrived until we left, we felt welcomed and cared for. Brad and his staff were delightful. The plantation house is rich with beauty, history, and charm. Breakfast was exceptional. The grounds were immaculate. We'll be back for certain!

Summary: Our stay at the Belmont was probably one of the best accomodations we have ever had. A beautiful historical home that is well preserved and to a large extent furnished with great taste and original furniture. Modern amenities are cleverly built in without being seen. A good breakfast of decent size was included with the prize, which in itself is worth every penny considering the quality of the house. Our stay was close to perfection.

Summary: Spent just one night here. Bed was very comfortable and room as pictured. Lovely sitting on the screened porch relaxing. Breakfast well presented and soufflé best I’ve had in a long while. Be aware of a lot of stairs if in first floor room

Summary: The Belmont 1857 is a great option if staying in Greenville. It is very safe and clean and super easy drive from Greenville. Less than 10 minutes. Brad the owner is very conscientious and wants every detail to be perfect. Not to mention this an actual antebellum home.
